| Odo is forced to break sacred Changeling codes and turn against one of his own kind when the crew falls prey to sabotage. When Deep Space Nine receives a mysterious distress signal from Federation colonists reportedly under attack from the Tzenkethi, they rush to the rescue. However, it is soon revealed that the s.o.s. was faked by Changelings, who hope to initiate a war between the Federation and the Tzenkethi. With time running out, the crew must scramble to find the saboteur hidden amongst their ranks and neutralize their ship`s weaponry, which has been activated to launch an attack, before an intergalactic battle ensues.
