| A 17-year-old tofu delivery boy named Tak drives an Eight-Six, a street term for the Toyota Trueno AE86. Tak leads a rather dull existence until he gets involved with the street-racing scene. The plots generally involve Tak, the gangs who compete against him, the types of cars they drive, and how the cars handle in different race locations. A bit of romance fuels the drivers` passionate competition. In addition to stunning graphics (a mix of traditional animation and computer graphics), the series fleshes out small details, such as different driving techniques. In these episodes Tak`s friend Iggy must pull Tak out of his romantic slump and get him in shape to race again. Tak gets inspired again when he sees K.T. and Zak battle each other. Fired up again, Tak agrees to compete in the middle of a hard rain. |
