| AURA BATTLER DUNBINE was a huge success in mid-1980s Japan and is recognized as one of the classics from the golden age of televised Animi. The series follows motocross racer Shou Zama as he finds his destiny in Byston Well, a world that exists in the spaces between sea and land. Brought there to pilot a robot weapon known as an Aura Battler for Byston Well leader Drake Luft, Shou is immediately skeptical. His suspicions are confirmed when Drake makes it clear that he intends to take over the Earth, prompting Shou to try and defect back to the other side so that he can help save the planet. This tenth volume includes four more episodes of the sci-fi Animi series. |
